So far, neither the baptism nor the marriage dates of Josef Volk and his wife Maria Barbara Reinauer have been determined.
In the church register of Felldorf before 1760 - an excerpt from the Bierlinger book - only the following entries with the name Volk appear:
According to the Bierlingen church register, the couple Josef Volk and Maria Barbara Reinauer had the following children:
Carl moved to Neuhausen near Pforzheim, where he apparently ran a trade (see marriage entry).
Carl was married twice
The church register of Neuhausen/Pforzheim shows:
He had several children with his second wife in Neuhausen:
Joseph Anton Volck *1779 is important for the Krasna people.
Alexander Morlock, Stuttgart, provided the following information, which he copied from the land register of the municipality of Neuhausen:

Lagerbuch vor (for) Carl Volck 1763:
1793, den 14. Juni, on the death of the father and mother the following estates have been distributed among the children as follows:
According to the church register of Neuhausen, Josef Anton Volck was born there on 15. 03. 1779. The entry in Latin reads: Neuhausen. On March 15, 1779 I, M Rösner, pastor of the local parish, baptized the child of Carl Volck and Agathe Ochsin with the name Joseph Anton. Godfather: Caspar Würtemberger.
He married in Neuhausen on February 4, 1801, church register entry: Josef Anton Volk, son of Carl Volck and Agathe Ochs marries Anna Maria Volz, daughter of Johann Volz and Therese Rieffle.
The same church register lists the sons and daughters of Josef Anton Volk and Anna Maria Volz:
Joseph Anton emigrated with his family, but it is not yet clear how. According to research by Alois Amann in Pforzheim-Hohenwart, Joseph Anton Volck emigrated to Russia together with his wife and six children in a group of several families emigrated to Russia in the spring of 1817.
"After long years of war against France and Napoleon with troop marches, billeting and contributions, 1816 was the "year without a summer". As a result of the eruption of the Indonesian volcano Tambora in 1815, Central Europe experienced dramatic crop failures, hunger and hardship. Many people sought their salvation in emigration."

In the list "Movement of Colonists within and to Bessarabia" printed by GRHS based on the document of the Kishinev Archive File 134-2-689, 360 pages it is said that Klemens Volk arrived in Baden/Odessa on 18 Nov. 1817 (and he traveled together with his father Josef Anton and the other members of the family).
As I said, it is not yet known exactly how and when Josef Anton Volk traveled to southern Russia. It seems less likely that he traveled alone. It is more likely that he joined a group. In 1817, several transports of Chilatists from Württemberg went to Odessa on their way to the Caucasus. These transports ran from May to August at roughly weekly intervals. The first group (Weissacher Harmonie) came from Weissach, just over 10 km from Neuhausen, the home of Josef Anton Volk. They left Ulm at the end of May/beginning of June. As the journey across the Danube to Odessa took around 130 days, only departures from Ulm before August are possible. It could also have happened, for example, with a travel group that left Ulm at the beginning of July and arrived in the Odessa region at the end of October/beginning of November 1817. 1821 the Volk family in Baden near Odessa appears in further documents:
Josef Anton is still listed in the Baden census for 1852, so he died later.
Josef Anton was married at least twice:
According to the Mannheim church register, his first wife was Anna Maria Holz/Volz?
Children as far as known (they are listed in the Neuhausen church register)
According to the 1852 census, his second wife was Margarethe, with whom he had several children.
Census 1852 from Baden/Kutschurgan
The church register of Mannheim names Engelbert Volk's ancestors at the time of his marriage:
Marriage Entries Mannheim Catholic Church Records 1814-1847 Odessa Archives Fond 628 p. 18 Volk, Clementii is best man at the wedding of Engelbert Volk, son of Joseph Anton (grandson of Carl) Volk and Anna Maria (daughter of Johann Holz/Volz?).
There was obviously only one Volk family in Baden/Odessa (see 1821 Electoral List, 1828 Debt List and 1852 Census). There is no direct relationship with the Volk clan in Alsace/Kutschurgan.
